Chapter 681 - Deal

Chapter 681 - Deal

"No..there is no way to reverse it."

Beli sat there with her legs crossed as she looked at Max. She hadn\'t ever heard of a human who had converted into a demon and returned back to being a demon. At least, it was not possible in this case for sure.

People who got converted into a demon would form a Demon heart in their body and their human heart would remain as well. So, in theory, if they destroyed their demon heart then there was a possibility of returning back to human.

But, the experiments had failed until now and no one wanted to try it anymore. After all, once the demon heart was destroyed, the blood pumping through it will pass through the human heart which was not meant to be.

And, in Zack\'s case, his human heart was destroyed. So, he only had a Demon heart left.

"Well, I think the method is just not found yet to be honest." Naze chimed in after maintaining silence for a long while. This immediately earned him a glare from Beli.

She was here trying to convince Max to accept his father even as a Demon and yet this guy was trying to push him to experiment and make his father human again. Just whose side was he on?

"True, if it isn\'t known yet, then someone just has to find it out." Max nodded.

Beli\'s face turned even darker on hearing that. And, she turned her head to look at Naze but the guy had turned his face towards the other side.

In the end, she looked at Max and tried to convince him again, "Do you really have so much time to experiment? I don\'t think so."

"Your father is a demon now. And, that is the truth. Besides, he is a part of my Tribe now."

"I can still protect him. I don\'t think it will be a problem as long as it is one person." Max shook his head.

"Y-You!!"

"Do you think I will just allow you to do so?" She glared at him. She didn\'t expect him to behave so shamelessly and not even repay the favor.

"I still think that my proposal is something that we should opt for. I am saying this for you as well. And, now that my father is in that situation, I think you should believe my words even more." Max actually was serious, "If you don\'t take the risk now, then everything would be over."

"But, it\'s too dangerous."

"Fine, how about this. If anything happens, you store everyone in your spirit world and escape the place. I don\'t believe that you haven\'t prepared an escape plan in case of need." He knew that she must have done some preparations for sure.

"It\'s not easy for me. Since, I have Demon blood in me, it is much more difficult for me to advance in Spirit Arts. At my current level, my spirit world isn\'t big enough, and I don\'t even have full control over it. At most, I can bring two person inside a day." She felt a little frustrated and embarrassed about it. But, it was something that had to be said.

"Then what if I provide you a way out?" Max asked her. "Will you agree to taking the risk then?

"Hmmn?" Beli looked at him with raised brows. "What do you mean?"

"I will send someone who has a large spirit world. And, you can call him an escape artist as well." Max replied to her. He obviously didn\'t tell her that this guy was a narcissist though.

There was no need for that. No one promotes the bad side of their product after all.

Beli sat there contemplating it.

After a good while, she raised her head and looked at Max with a complicated look on her face.

"You are not lying, are you?" She asked him in confirmation.

"Won\'t my friends die as well if I am lying?" Max asked her in return. If they couldn\'t escape, then it was obvious that the people who would be going from their side would be in trouble.

After a few more minutes of thought, she gritted her teeth and finally made a decision.

"Fine, I agree."

Beli was just counting on this opportunity. She was hoping that even if they failed in this operation, she could bring out her tribe from the Demon Society and help them settle in some other place.

She didn\'t know if this would save them from anything or not. But, it was definitely worth the struggle. And, even in the worst case, they could avoid a total wipe out.

"I will be looking forward to it then." Max put his hand forward.

Beli looked at him and then shook his hand.

With that, an alliance, even though a bit shaky, was formed.

….

The day slowly came to an end,

The Competitions had proceeded one step ahead.

Orca had defeated Zealand while Ethera had defeated Vienna in upper brackets.

On the other hand, Trinity and West Gale had emerged victorious in the lower brackets.

And, Arcane and Ishtar had moved ahead without playing any matches.

Blue City Academy was out of the game and so was Ocien.

"That was a tiring day.." Axel sighed as he fell flat on the sofa.

"Like in hell did you do anything." Wilson snorted.

"Will you guys stop that for a second?" Mark looked at the two helplessly.

Mr. Cool was in the room too.

After they all calmed out, they turned their heads towards Max. They wanted to know what had gone down there between him and that Demon Princess.

"We made a deal." Max finally broke the silence and explained to them everything that had happened there.

"Well, it\'s good." Axel smiled at him, and no one said anything about his father being turned into a demon.

"But, what we are going to do next will be dangerous." Max suddenly added, looking at everyone.

"Well, it wasn\'t safe from the very beginning." Mr. Cool shook his head.

"True." Axel nodded.

"I don\'t know about others. But, I want to go this time." Wilson, who was on his wheelchair, suddenly let his feet down on the floor and stood on his own, "I have been tied to it for a bit too long. It\'s time to move."

"Well, listening to the plan, it seems I am the main lead here." Mr.. Cool smiled as he stood up as well.
